Right-brained folks process randomly and holistically, are
intuitive, subjective, and look at the whole, not parts. They
rely on nonverbal means of communication such as gestures and
expressions, and generally read it well. They're likely to pay
more attention to the tone of your voice and the gist of the
communication rather than the meaning of the actual words used.
P.S. Whether you're left-brain dominant, or right-brain
dominant, you can get into 'whole brain thinking' when you
develop your ...Read the rest of this entry »

Sending a thank you or follow-up letter within 24 hours of an
interview is not a new idea, but it is still a good idea. A key
reason to send a thank you letter is to nurture new and existing
relationships. Plan to send a thank you letter to all the people
that assist in your job search. This group includes the people
that you meet during an interview; your existing contacts that
provide written recommendations, and any friend (or friends of
friends) that offer career related leads or ...Read the rest of this entry »

I am a busy executive of a multi-billion dollar company. As such
I am incredibly busy and must choose where focus my energy and
efforts with great care. Thus, I am always looking for those
things that steal time.
One of those time stealers is the phone. In fact, next to
meetings and email, it is probably the worst time stealer of
all. Phone tag is a complete waste of time, and I generally
simply refuse to play the game at all.
Voice mails, like email messages, can be major time wasters. I
know ...Read the rest of this entry »

1) QUICK FOLLOW-UPS
When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You
could follow-up with a "thank you" email and include an
advertisement for another product you sell. You can be more
subtle including the offer within your signature file.
Another way is to take your customer to a "thank you" web page
right after they order. You should thank them for their order
and next begin to tell them about another product you sell. You
could also include a picture or graphic of your ...Read the rest of this entry »

Beginner's Guide To Free For All Sites (FFA's)
For those of you who don't know what an FFA site is, it's
basically a website where you can post a link/add to your
website for free. Generally it is also posted to many other
sites at the same time and hopefully somebody sees your
link...free advertising in other words. When you post a link,
you are also giving permission (whether you know it or not) to
receive confirmation e-mails back from the site owner.
What seems to happen though, is many ...Read the rest of this entry »

You've probably noticed the recent explosion of new
paid-to-read email sites on the Internet. You've probably also
noticed that some of these sites don't last very long. Why? In a
nutshell-too much competition. Paid email sites make their money
off advertising. With so many other similar sites out there,
it's getting harder and harder to draw advertisers.
On the other hand this competition creates an ideal situation
for advertisers. Advertisers now have an enormous selection of
paid email ...Read the rest of this entry »

There are lots of ezines (newsletters) out there that offer
free classified ads to new subscribers (and many even offer free
ads on an ongoing basis).
This can be a nice little source of free traffic and exposure
for your website/ebook/ezine but, if not handled properly it can
have its downside.
The biggest problem is that, by joining a whole plethora of
ezines your mail box risks becoming very crowded very quickly,
and it's easy to become overwhelmed with it all.
This is especially true if ...Read the rest of this entry »
